ABOUT THIS RING

The famed Muzo emerald mines in Colombia produced stones of extraordinary colors, formally described as "Muzo Green." The gemological report that accompanies this ring states that the emerald is reminiscent of such a color. With underlying tones of blue, this exceptionally vibrant 3.30 carat stone casts its entrancing glow from within a stunning halo of crisply sparkling, icy white pear-shaped rose-cut diamonds, all atop a bold bright platinum shank. Simply smashing! Total diamond weight, 1.84 carats. Hand fabricated, currently ring size 6 1/4. Gemological report from Gem Research Swiss Lab states: Minor clarity enhancement. Origin - Colombia, Color - *Vivid Green.

*"This vividly saturated emerald of 3.30 ct is reminiscent in hue of the varieties displaying the legendary colors found in world-renowned Muzo mines. The are formally described as "Muzo Green" and commonly known in the trade as "Old Mine" emeralds."

About Estate Jewelry

Though it calls to mind grand manor houses in the English countryside, “estate” is just a fancy way of describing any piece of jewelry with a previous owner. That’s pretty much everything in our collection. We tend to use “estate” to refer to pieces in our collection with a more modern or contemporary design, or vintage-inspired designs. These perennial gems are selected in harmony with our original antique and vintage pieces…they’re just a little bit younger!

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
