ABOUT THESE EARRINGS

Radiant and imbued with an irrepressible hue, peridot was known in ancient times as the “gem of the sun,” and was believed to dissolve enchantment and banish evil thoughts. To exert its full powers, it had to be set in gold.  How fortuitous that these earrings, crafted in 14K white gold and featuring a pair of lively lime-green peridots are perfectly empowered to dissolve and banish bad spells and thoughts, all while making you look fabulous in the process. Total peridot weight, 4.19 carats.

About Estate Jewelry

Though it calls to mind grand manor houses in the English countryside, “estate” is just a fancy way of describing any piece of jewelry with a previous owner. That’s pretty much everything in our collection. We tend to use “estate” to refer to pieces in our collection with a more modern or contemporary design, or vintage-inspired designs. These perennial gems are selected in harmony with our original antique and vintage pieces…they’re just a little bit younger!

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
