It features the rare black star sapphire, which owes its dark color to the presence of the mineral hematite. Eight of these intriguing gems glow around this estate jewel, alternating with sparkling round brilliant-cut diamonds, together creating a striking contrast of bright light and rich, deep color. Total sapphire weight, 4.40 carats. Crafted in 14K yellow gold, it is now and forever a ring size 6 1/2.
