ABOUT THIS NECKLACE

Chic, unique and strikingly stunning are just a few words that barely begin to describe this remarkable Art Deco-inspired necklace. Based on the jubilant jewels of the 1920s by such fine French jewelry houses as Cartier, Maubbousin, and Lacloche Frères, et al, this fabulous adornment (the pendant was formerly a brooch) is composed of 22 'melon'-carved emeralds (averaging one-carat apiece), each dotted with a tiny bezel-set twinkler, all arranged in the style of a classic dress clip. The pendant, measuring a quite noticeable 1 1/2 inches in both directions, suspends from a 17 1/2-inch platinum chain sparkling all around with bright-white spectacle-set diamonds. A showpiece. Hand fabricated in platinum. Total diamond weight, 4.02 carats.
