The name "opal" evolved from the Greek “opallios,” meaning change of color. Encircled by dazzling bright white round brilliant-cut diamonds--that also lend sparkle to the shoulders--the riveting 2.46 carat cabochon fire opal in this elegant ring displays an exuberant profusion of electric green, yellow, and orange hues.  A ravishing and resplendent estate jewel. Total diamond weight, 1.62 carats. In 18K gold, currently ring size 6 1/4.
