ABOUT THIS NECKLACE

Reminiscent of the candy necklaces you used to wear in grade school, but so much prettier, this estate jewel abounds in glorious faceted tourmaline beads. Tourmalines display the widest variety of gemstone colors in the mineral kingdom, and most of them—pink, yellow, red, green, brown, and black—are represented in this bold and glimmering neck adornment, accented with textured gold spacer beads. A knot motif gold clasp adds the finishing design detail. Estimated tourmaline weight, 500.00 carats. Measures 20 inches. Note: bead tips at each end of the necklace are gold-filled.

About Estate Jewelry

Though it calls to mind grand manor houses in the English countryside, “estate” is just a fancy way of describing any piece of jewelry with a previous owner. That’s pretty much everything in our collection. We tend to use “estate” to refer to pieces in our collection with a more modern or contemporary design, or vintage-inspired designs. These perennial gems are selected in harmony with our original antique and vintage pieces…they’re just a little bit younger!

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
