ABOUT THIS RING

No need to tell anyone that the gorgeous, fiery red, square-cut gemstone radiating from the center of this fabulous modern dinner ring isn't a ruby, but a beautiful lookalike--a rhodolite garnet. The enchanting gemstone is bezel-set and glistens amidst a 1-inch-plus escutcheon shape that shimmers with over 50 small bright white pavé-set diamonds, and a pair of bezel-set stones set north and south. A chic and distinctive statement ring. Hand fabricated rich, gleaming 18K yellow gold, circa the late-20th century. Total diamond weight -.85 carat, rhodolite garnet - 2.16 carats. Currently ring size 7 1/2.

About Estate Jewelry

Though it calls to mind grand manor houses in the English countryside, “estate” is just a fancy way of describing any piece of jewelry with a previous owner. That’s pretty much everything in our collection. We tend to use “estate” to refer to pieces in our collection with a more modern or contemporary design, or vintage-inspired designs. These perennial gems are selected in harmony with our original antique and vintage pieces…they’re just a little bit younger!

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
