ABOUT THIS BROOCH
If these mid-to-late 19th century ear drops were English or American we'd call them Victorian; however, since they hail from France we'll refer to them simply as antique, or Second Empire (borrowed from furniture of the same period). Hand fabricated in richly textured 18K yellow gold, flowing ribbons support 10 sparkling buttercup-set old mine-cut diamonds and a pair of diamond-set tear drops dancing below. Measuring 1 3/16 inches, they drop a bit further from the later added lever ear wires. .80 carat total diamond weight. A match to brooch #50-1-10498
