ABOUT THIS BROOCH

From the Italian jewelry house of Garavelli, one of the oldest jewelry brands in Italy, comes this glorious specimen of the sea designed by Luca Valerian. Glistening with stripes of buff-top blue topaz and citrine that alternated with stripes of scintillating round brilliant-cut diamonds, it moves through the waters with its diamond-dusted tail and keen sapphire blue eye, looking for a new home—somewhere on you! In this case, 'a fish out of water' is a good thing. Total diamond weight - 1.90 carats, total colored gemstone weight - 44.60 carats. Crafted in 18K white gold.

About Estate Jewelry

Though it calls to mind grand manor houses in the English countryside, “estate” is just a fancy way of describing any piece of jewelry with a previous owner. That’s pretty much everything in our collection. We tend to use “estate” to refer to pieces in our collection with a more modern or contemporary design, or vintage-inspired designs. These perennial gems are selected in harmony with our original antique and vintage pieces…they’re just a little bit younger!

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
