Invisible Set Sapphire and Diamond Pinwheel Brooch/Pendant
ABOUT THIS JEWELRY
Since Van Cleef & Arpels invented and essentially owned the art of invisible setting back in the early-20th-century, only a handful of jewelers successfully mastered the rigorously technical and difficult practice. Here is a stunning example of invisible setting, this time with the added zing of numerous smaller scissor-cut (a.k.a. French cut) sapphires. Measuring a striking 2 inches wide, the kinetic pinwheel design glistens all around with curved fan blades composed of scintillating royal blue invisibly set sapphires edged with tiny sparkling white round brilliant-cut diamonds, all centered by a glittering diamond cluster. A striking showstopper, expertly crafted in gleaming 18K white gold. Total sapphire weight, - 12.30 carats, total diamond weight - 1.20 carats.
