This delightfully rendered pansy brooch has been enameled with photo representational precision in tones of purple, violet, white, magenta and black. It features a central prong-set diamond securely set in 6 prongs. Each petal is edged with graduating seed pearls. It is in pristine condition. Fitted with a hook option. Flowers had strong meanings in earlier times and when they were incorporated in art and jewelry they often had hidden, secret meanings. Pansies signified loving thoughts and merriment.
