Here is an unexpected combination! From 19th century Japan comes this large-scale (3 1/4 by 2 1/4 inches), substantial (weighty), and undisputedly striking double-sided cross pendant artfully hand-fabricated in contrasting mixed metals. Overlaid with numerous menuki, one side displays birds, flowers and reeds, with the reverse decorated with insects, leaves and berries. A unique and captivating collectible. Dangling from a 48-inch gold-filled chain.
