18 karat yellow gold, late 19th century belt buckle, depicting a snake coiled around the upper portion of the buckle. The head of the serpent is set with an oval cabochon sapphire, flanked on either side with a single-cut diamond. Each of the snakes eyes are set with a rose-cut diamond. French hallmarks.
