Supported by a delicate silver frame are vertical panels of alternating multi-color translucent agates. The base and handles are bloodstone. The handles partially consist of foliate motif engraved silver. The Scottish Quaich, from the Gaelic word cuach meaning cup, has been used for centuries as a drinking vessel used for toasts, greetings or farewells and as a loving cup.
