ABOUT THIS BROOCH

An artful assemblage of multi-colored stones--rich blue lapis lazuli; shimmering white mother of pearl; pink angel skin and bright orange coral; and tiny sparkling diamonds for the eyes--combine to create this charming wise ole owl brooch by *Asch Grossbardt.

*Eric Grossbardt founded Asch/Grossbardt in 1986 around basic principles: Exquisite Craftsmanship, Well Thought-Out Function and Design, Attention to Detail and Precise Execution. Asch Grossbardt sources natural, exotic, rare gems from around the world for the Asch/Grossbardt collections. Examining the creations of Asch/Grossbardt is very much like admiring a celebrated private art collection. Each piece is a remarkably precise execution of an artistic vision. Tiny pieces of spectacular gemstones are transformed into seamless, beautiful patterns, in the nearly forgotten art of inlay. For over two centuries the Asch and Grossbardt families have had a meaningful presence in the fine jewelry industry. Today, the Asch/Grossbardt company is world renowned as the premier manufacturer of fine inlaid gold jewelry.

About Estate Jewelry

Though it calls to mind grand manor houses in the English countryside, “estate” is just a fancy way of describing any piece of jewelry with a previous owner. That’s pretty much everything in our collection. We tend to use “estate” to refer to pieces in our collection with a more modern or contemporary design, or vintage-inspired designs. These perennial gems are selected in harmony with our original antique and vintage pieces…they’re just a little bit younger!

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
