ABOUT THIS BRACELET

Treasured for thousands of years, jade continues to be a highly desirable gemstone. The eight gleaming emerald green cabochons in this bracelet are a form of jade called omphacite. First identified in Bavaria, Germany, in 1815, the less-than-lyrical name originates from the Greek word for 'unripe grape.' The name aside, the graduated gems in this jewel are imbued with varying shades of green, and alternate with quartets of icy white bezel-set round brilliant-cut diamonds, creating an orbit of color and sparkle for your wrist. Total jade weight - 22.27 carats, total diamond weight - .59 carat. In platinum, it measures 7 inches. Stone Group Laboratories gemological report states: Natural. Omphacite jade. No indications of polymers or dyes.

About Estate Jewelry

Though it calls to mind grand manor houses in the English countryside, “estate” is just a fancy way of describing any piece of jewelry with a previous owner. That’s pretty much everything in our collection. We tend to use “estate” to refer to pieces in our collection with a more modern or contemporary design, or vintage-inspired designs. These perennial gems are selected in harmony with our original antique and vintage pieces…they’re just a little bit younger!

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
