ABOUT THIS BRACELET

In 1973, a British archeologist discovered a 4,500-year-old statue of a teenage girl, the "Dancing Girl," whose arm is entirely covered in bangles. Clearly one of the earliest forms of adornment, the bangle endures as a favorite--and essential--accessory. In this version of exceptional beauty, 11 graduated oval rubies in a rich, vivid purple-red color (probably Thai origin), weighing 6.50 carats, gleam and glimmer across the top of the knife-edge bracelet. The alluring gemstones are accented in between by tiny twinkling rose cut diamonds, all of which are bordered by a delightful scroll design. Although you might not want your entire arm covered in bangles, adding one more to your collection--especially one as gorgeous as this--is a smart move. In 14K gold, it measures 6 5/8 inches. Circa 1880s-90s.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
