ABOUT THIS BROOCH
Colorful jaspers and agates are inlayed in this iconic Scottish pin with a Celtic cross center. The pin harkens from the mid-Victorian period when Victoria herself popularized Scotland and all things Scottish when she purchased Balmoral Castle in 1848. We know this is an early piece as the pinstem extends beyond the edge of the pin, a practice that was discontinued shortly thereafter. This pin is in particularly good condition considering its age. An excellent choice as a kilt accent!
