ABOUT THIS NECKLACE

A marvelous marriage. In this ravishing and resplendent jewel by Tiffany & Co. - circa 1920 - an extraordinary stone, a gorgeous icy white (F color) and crystalline clean (VS2), gloriously sparkling 1.83 carat pear-shaped diamond dangles beneath a breathtaking 1.20 carat vivid velvety cobalt blue no-heat cushion-cut Kashmir sapphire, accented by a single old mine-cut diamond on top. The utterly alluring assemblage of vibrant color and dazzling light suspends from a 16-inch platinum chain via a bail shimmering with single-cut diamonds. 1 1/8 inch, the newer chain measures 16 inches. Total diamond weight, 1.95 carats. Diamond accompanied by a digital Grading Report from the GIA stating: F color - VS2 clarity. Sapphire accompanied by a gemological report from AGL stating: Vivid Blue Kashmir Natural. No indications of Thermal Enhancement. Hand fabricated in platinum.

About Estate Jewelry

Though it calls to mind grand manor houses in the English countryside, “estate” is just a fancy way of describing any piece of jewelry with a previous owner. That’s pretty much everything in our collection. We tend to use “estate” to refer to pieces in our collection with a more modern or contemporary design, or vintage-inspired designs. These perennial gems are selected in harmony with our original antique and vintage pieces…they’re just a little bit younger!

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
