Victorian 1.81 Carat No-Heat Pailin Sapphire and Diamond Halo Ring
ABOUT THIS RING
The color blue is rare in nature, which makes the sapphire in this glorious Victorian jewel all the more astonishing. Cushion cut and weighing 1.81 carats, its vibrant ultramarine hue is natural, unassisted by any heat enhancements, and is accented--in striking contrast--by an effervescent company of bright and lively old mine cut diamonds. This alluring assemblage of color and sparkle crowns an elegant 18K gold ring shank. Total diamond weight, 1.60 carats. Hand fabricated, circa the turn-of-the-20th-century. Gemological report from Stone Group Laboratories states: Natural. No indications of thermal enhancements. Pailin, Cambodia - origin. Note: In the world of sapphires, those closest in color to Kashmir (the rarest and most coveted) and Burmese (close runner-up) originate from Pailin, Cambodia.
