ABOUT THIS BROOCH
Here's something refreshingly different in a Victorian brooch. Dating back to the latter 19th century, this unique adornment centers on a subtly concave translucent oyster-white oval plaque overlaid with sinuous flowers and leaves set with bright blue turquoise. The centerpiece is held by six decorative scallop shell motif prongs and is presented in a scalloped frame colored with glossy periwinkle blue enamel. A distinctively charming delight. Hand fabricated in bright 14K yellow gold, circa 1875, it measures 2 by 1 5/8 inches.
