ABOUT THIS NECKLACE
The lighter side of Artemis (or Diana during the later Roman period), the Goddess of the Hunt, is wonderfully and artfully hand carved in translucent burnt-orange carnelian, wearing a swirling diaphanous gown as she playfully withholds her bow from a grasping Cupid (who has an altogether different 'game' in mind). This ravishing wearable work of art, hand fabricated in warmly burnished 18K rosy-yellow gold, is fancifully framed all around in glittering rose-cut diamonds and dates back to the mid-to-late 1800s. It measures 2 3/8 by 1 3/4 inches. The new chain measures 18 inches.
