On the front: a big, glowing, Cabernet-colored cabochon garnet surrounded by glittering rose-cut diamonds set in darkened silver; on the reverse: a ticking timepiece, just in case your cell phone breaks down. This rare and wonderful Victorian pendant watch, crafted in 18K gold, circa 1880, suspends from a supple original 9ct. Victorian chain (hence of British origin) measuring 18 inches.
