ABOUT THIS RING
An unusual and distinctively striking circular hardstone cameo, hand-carved in burnt umber and slate gray agate (a form of the quartz mineral chalcedony), artfully depicts an imposing renaissance gent elegantly attired in a nobleman's muffin hat and matching cape fastened with a bejeweled cape clasp, in this bold and beautiful baronial bauble measuring just shy of 1 inch in diameter. An unusual early-to-mid-19th-century rarity. Hand fabricated in 12-14K yellow gold, circa turn of the 20th century, it is currently ring size 8 1/4.
