ABOUT THIS BROOCH
Artfully hand painted, an adorable and precocious little girl, donning a puffy lacy dress, is dipping into a volume of young adult fiction in this wonderful work of wearable Victorian memorial art - circa 1850. The 18K frame is strikingly adorned all around with a Greek-key pattern rendered in cobalt blue enamel. The reverse houses an open glass covered locket compartment currently occupied with golden locks (presumably belonging to the dearly long departed little girl). A consumate sentimental Victorian treasure. 1 3/4+ inches by 1 1/2 inches.
