Victorian Cobalt Enamel and Diamond Locket Pendant
ABOUT THIS NECKLACE
Lockets are particularly pleasing, beautiful in both form and function. The front of this striking Victorian pendant is colored with vibrant cobalt blue enamel, embellished at its center with an intricate diamond-set monogram design (what do you see in it?), and encircled by glinting rose-cut diamonds, while the reverse houses an open display locket compartment. Topped by a bow and bail sparkling with rose cuts, the regal and ravishing jewel suspends from an 18-inch darkened silver rolo chain. Total diamond weight, 6.05 carats. Hand fabricated in silver over 14K gold, circa 1880.
