ABOUT THESE EARRINGS
The amphora--a beautifully shaped vessel used as early as the Neolithic Period--makes a striking jewelry motif. And because seemingly nothing was off-limits theme-wise for Victorian jewelers, we have this gorgeous pair of coral amphorae earrings. Long and lovely, the 'vessels' are fashioned with luscious pinkish-orange coral drops and beads, embellished with Etruscan-style gold ornamentation, and swing from sweeping ear wires. Striking beauties. Hand fabricated in 14K gold, circa 1890.
