ABOUT THIS BROOCH
While generally not welcomed at picnics, ants are efficient and industrious insects that deserve credit for their important place in the ecosystem. And one as cool as this Victorian specimen deserves an enthusiastic welcome to your jewelry collection. Ruby-eyed with a .35 carat old mine-cut diamond head, its hand-engraved body is a gleaming, persimmon-colored cabochon coral. Endowed with strong gold legs, it is ready to make its way onto your lapel/hat/scarf/dress (ants cover a lot of ground!). Hand fabricated in 14K gold, circa 1900.
