Victorian Diamond and Enamel Pinwheel Pendant Necklace

ABOUT THIS NECKLACE
Originally called whirligigs, pinwheels were invented in the nineteenth century by a woman who imagined children running while holding them in the air. In this Victorian version (formerly a brooch), a wheel of gracefully curved textured gold 'spokes' --each embellished by a lovely light blue and white enameled flower and interspersed by lively European-cut diamonds--swirl around a single diamond. Utterly delightful and no running required. Total diamond weight, .25 carat. Hand fabricated In 14K gold. Chain measures 18inches.
