ABOUT THIS NECKLACE
Dating back to the latter 1800s, this striking and sizable (2 1/2 by 2 1/4 inches) Victorian lavalière necklace, hand fabricated in darkened silver over 14K gold, features an artfully designed vertical lyre motif backdrop overlaid with curvaceous swirls, all aglitter with an array of bright-white old mine-cut, European-cut, and rose-cut diamonds--together weighing 3.22 carats. These in turn support a shimmering array of mostly dangling lustrous white natural freshwater and saltwater pearls. Old world elegance exemplified. The newer chain measures 18 inches.
