Victorian Diamond, Demantoid Garnet, and Enamel Flower Pendant/Brooch
ABOUT THIS JEWELRY
Two time-honored Victorian design motifs--a flower and a crescent--merge to create this striking pendant/brooch dating back to the latter 1800s. Measuring a quite conspicuous 1 7/8 by 1 3/8 inches, a central flower, ablaze with old mine-cut diamond-set petals, shines against a deep glossy cobalt blue enamel background, all of which are embraced by a crescent sparkling with old mine-cut diamonds. Leaves set with bright apple-green demantoid garnets (from the Ural Mountains of Russia) and a diamond-set stem add the finishing flourishes to this dramatically stunning Victorian showpiece. Total diamond weight - 6.69 carats, total garnet weight - .80 carat. Hand fabricated in silver over 18K gold. Bonus! *From the estate of a renowned A-list Hollywood actor (only to be revealed upon purchase ;). Condition note: one diamond and one demantoid show wear commensurate with age of piece.
