ABOUT THIS BRACELET

Elephants, horses, and a few unidentified animals (tigers, perhaps?) abound in this striking Victorian bracelet, intricately and artfully hand fabricated in rich 18K yellow gold. Seven graduated oval plaques are each hand pierced with a scene depicting the above-mentioned beasts (and humans) frolicking atop glossy green translucent enamel, each ornately outlined in cannetille* frames. A truly unique and exotic wearable work of art. It measures 1 3/8 inches wide at the center by 6 1/2 inches long. *Cannetille is a close relative of filigree work. It typically features fine gold wires or thinly hammered sheets.
