Victorian Fringe Pendant
ABOUT THIS NECKLACE
Measuring a quite conspicuous 3 1/4 inches, a myriad of delightful details harmonize beautifully to create this visually intriguing--and quite striking--Victorian lavalière pendant. Converted from a brooch, it features a domed melon-like element centered with a shimmering natural pearl, and is decorated above with a curvy design topped by a couple of curlicues. Below, a Greek key plaque swings back and forth, while five pendeloque-tipped drops, one set with a pearl, add lively motion--and a charming tinkle. Hand fabricated in 14K gold, circa 1875, it suspends from a new 20-inch chain.
