Victorian jewelers were not afraid to go big--and they did so with great flourish. The captivating and colossal garnet (19.00 carats!) in this spectacular ring is a rather rare hollow cabochon (aka carbuncle) scooped out in the back to enhance its fabulous rich cordovan color. Such a stone deserves an equally awesome setting. This one is an impressive structure embellished with stylized flowers glimmering with rose-cut diamonds and arranged to create a cool pattern against glossy black enamel. Wear it on the days when a power ring is in order. Total diamond weight, 1.00 carat. In 14K rosy-yellow gold. Now, and forever, ring size 7 1/4. Condition note: garnet and enamel show surface pits commensurate with the age and wear of the piece.
