This wonderful American Victorian-era bar brooch, circa 1850s, is comprised of twelve separate inlays of light and dark gold-in-quartz plaques set in richly patinated 14K rose gold. A rare and collectible antique jewel very likely hailing from Gold Rush-era California. Hand fabricated, it measures just shy of three inches long.
