ABOUT THIS JEWELRY

Who needs a gold bar when you can have this infinitely more intriguing Victorian pendant/brooch. The uniquely designed jewel features an oval bezel-set gold-in-quartz plaque (the gold has the appearance of fluttering fall leaves), trimmed with delicate twisted gold wire and crowned with a fanciful slatted crescent accented with tiny gold beads. Twisted-wire dangles—accented with open hexagonal shapes—dangle from elegant scrolls adding lively motion to this no-one-else-will-have-one jewel. Hand fabricated in 18K gold (pin stem is 14K yellow gold), circa 1875, it suspends from an 18-inch chain.
