ABOUT THESE EARRINGS

Beautiful and mysterious, these early Victorian dangles (circa 1860) feature a pair of bright golden yellow elongated pear-shaped stones embellished all around in light-weight ornate repousse designs accented below with small emerald-cut green beryls (light emeralds). The mystery? One of the lovely sunshiny stones is a citrine and one is not a stone at all--it's glass (but all original)! You can pull out your jeweler's loupe and try to figure out which one, or you can just wear them and look absolutely fabulous. Citrine weight, 3.50 carats. In 15ct yellow gold (hence of British origin), they hang from French wires and measure 5/8 by 1 1/2 inches (they drop a bit further from the ear wires).

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
