Set in 18 karat yellow gold five diamonds are set in multiple prongs across the top of a pierced scroll gallery in this traditional Victorian style ring. The old mine cut diamonds weigh a total of .50 carat (H-J color, I1 clarity). English hallmarks: Birmingham, 18K, 1914.The English will always love Victorian Jewelry. Styles persisted in England long after the designs established in the Victorian period faded from popularity elsewhere. This ring is a classic example. The hallmarks indicate that it was made in 1914. All other indications, including the mine cut diamonds, would lead us to believe it was actually made in the Victorian period. The diamonds definitely predate 1914, as they are hand mined and cut.
