Victorian Locket Bracelet
40-1-11209
ABOUT THIS BRACELET
This cool jewel is a bit of a mystery, but we'll try to solve it. The quintessential Victorian locket, lavishly hand engraved with sweeping scrolls and surrounded by a textured frame with black enamel accents, is inscribed on the reverse with the following: "Made from the watch Floyd's Grandfather, C.J. McInney, Floyd to Betsy April 5, 1941". Evidently a talented jeweler, circa 1941, repurposed Grandpa's watch (that is, melted it down for the gold) to create this locket, and/or matching bracelet, in faithful Victorian style (one would never suspect that it wasn't made 50-75 years earlier) to present to the very fortunate recipient, Betsy. Now, instead of checking your watch throughout the day, you can take a peek at your loved one, all while musing about Floyd and Betsy. Unique to say the least! Crafted in 14K rosy-yellow gold, it adjusts for 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 inches.
