Start with a simple shape and embellish. Victorian jewelers were masters at transforming ovals, circles and squares into captivating works of art--that held pictures. This oval locket (which opens to reveal to glass-covered photo compartments) is adorned in exquisite detail with a stylized flower, each petal bearing a fleur de lys design, and is centered by gleaming freshwater pearl. Tiny gold spheres and curlicues adorn the top, while a fancy decorated bail connects the pendant to a new 14K gold cable chain, measuring 18 inches. Crafted in 14k gold.
