Cubism--Victorian style. Predating Picasso's abstract art movement, an imaginative Victorian jeweler designed this intriguing brooch of angular geometric shapes replete with intriguing details. A rectangle-shaped malachite stone, painted by nature with varying shades of green, is set between two disks trimmed with tiny gold spheres with larger spheres adding dimension at their centers. The arresting assemblage suspends a malachite cube--accented with a decorative gold cap--by way of a foxtail chain swag that loops through a golden ring. A wearable work of art with dynamic dimension. A cool one! Hand fabricated in 14K gold (chain is gold filled).
