ABOUT THIS NECKLACE

A sentimental keepsake dating from mid-nineteenth century England. A Victorian memorial locket crafted in rich 18K yellow gold with a black enamel background displaying 'In Memory Of' in gold letters on the front, and a striking X motif pattern on the reverse. Engraved inside: 'Jane Richards died 26 June 1864 on her 57th year'. Memorial hair woven into a knot inside. 1 1/4 by 13/16 inches.
