ABOUT THIS NECKLACE
The back of this charming Victorian natural pearl necklace is as intriguing as the front. The 5 5/8-inch long centerpiece is composed of seven fancy scalloped motif links, hand fabricated in 18K yellow gold, set with shimmering natural pearls of varying colors - white, silver, to dark purple - leading to a classic Victorian neck chain. Hand engraved on the reverse over 4 sections: "From S.G. to B.F. HONG KONG 1th MAY 1887". Hong Kong, of course, was a British Colony at the time; thus this unique necklace is more than likely of Victorian English origin.
