Victorian No-Heat Sapphire, Diamond and Natural Pearl Lavalière - GIA
ABOUT THIS NECKLACE
Hailing from the latter-1800s, this resplendent Victorian lavalière necklace, hand fabricated in darkened silver over warmly burnished 14K gold, is redolent of vanished old world elegance and refinement. Glittering rose-cut diamond-set ribbons, garlands, plus a flower and a bow, envelop trios of natural no-heat Cambodian (*Pailin) sapphires (together weighing 1.50 carats), sparkling white old mine-cut diamonds, and a lustrous freely swinging natural saltwater pearl drop (bearing a GIA report). 2.40 carat total diamond weight. The darkened silver chain measures 18 inches. *Of all sapphires, the silken, velvety quality and cobalt blue hue of Pailin sapphires most resemble the rare, prized sapphires of Kashmir and Burma.
