Victorian Obelisk Engraved Dangle Earrings
ABOUT THESE EARRINGS
The ancient Egyptian pillars known as the Luxor Obelisks were carved and positioned on each side of the Luxor Temple during the reign of Ramesses II, c. 1250 BC), and their striking form clearly inspired a Victorian-era jeweler to fashion these dramatic drop earrings. Lavishly hand-engraved with a lush floral motif, the long and lovely geometric shapes swing beneath textured domes that connect to sweeping ear wires, and will create a gleaming golden glow at your lobes. Hand fabricated in 18K gold, circa 1880.
