A layered cluster of gleaming rose-cut diamonds (totaling 1.35 carats), is dramatically set off against a glossy black oval onyx plaque in this consummate Victorian necklace dating back to the mid-1800s. The gleaming, glittering centerpiece (formerly a brooch) is opulently framed in darkened silver and 14K gold and suspends from a matching woven necklace, measuring 16 inches, crafted in silver and 18K gold. A rare and wonderful proto-Goth adornment.
