Ladies and gentlemen, behold one of the coolest Victorian-era lockets of all time! Simply framed in the center is a translucent picture (aka dendritic) agate reminiscent of modern abstract expressionist art from the 1940s-50s (think Franz Kline). The raised centerpiece is framed in turn by inlaid gold-in-quartz panels punctuated on the corners with bloodstone fans. The reverse is artfully hand engraved with a fanciful border design. When the locket flips up from the bottom to reveal the photo of your loved one, the picture agate's transparency is enhanced. A fabulous one-of-a-kind collectible, hand fabricated in 14K rose gold - circa 1850. 1 3/4 inches (with bale) by 1 inch wide.
