Evocative of a very fancy octopus (not intentionally, it's actually a combo pinwheel/starburst!), this enchanting--and beautifully dimensional--Victorian retrospective pendant/brooch shimmers and sparkles with tiny seed pearls, luminous cultured pearls, and a circle of lively round brilliants centered by a single bright European-cut diamond. And just like the mesmerizing creature of the sea, that is known for its ability to transform, this pendant can also be worn as a brooch. Wonders never cease. Total diamond weight, .65 carat. Hand fabricated in 14K gold, circa early-20th century. Chain measures 18 inches.
