All the way from a vanished empire (the Austro-Hungarian empire, that is) comes this artfully designed leafy heart-shaped lavalière, expertly hand fabricated in silver over 14K gold, circa the turn-of-the-20th-century. Imbued with a decidedly Viennese flavor, the beautifully asymmetrical jewel centers on a crystalline 'pigeon-blood red' faceted oval ruby along with a lustrous white natural pearl, both of which are enwrapped in glittering rose-cut diamonds. Old-world elegance par excellence. Total diamond weight - .50 carat, total ruby weight - .86 carat. Chain measures 18 inches.
