Created by mollusks through a fascinating process that produces beautiful results, shells are used to make one of the most enduring and beloved adornments--the cameo. This portrait in profile presents a woman hand-carved in gleaming white against a muted caramel-colored background. Set in a bezel accented by a rope-like trim, the cameo is supported by elegant, widely split shoulders--each centered by a graceful pair of 'wings'--that lead to a fluted ring shank. Hand fabricated in 10K gold. Currently ring size 5 1/2.
